Valerie Daft graduated in 2014 from Spring Arbor University with a Master’s degree in counseling. She has since been trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Specialties include working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and survivors of childhood trauma, sexual assault, and domestic violence. She is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors.

Heather Labrecque

Heather is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Practitioner, Wise Woman Herbalist and Massage Therapy Educator. She’s been practicing massage therapy for about 20 years. She attended the Flint School of Therapeutic Massage for their basic course, and later returned for their Medical Massage program, earning over 1100 hours of massage training. Additionally, she has education with hot stone, facelift massage, massage for the hospitalized and medically frail, hospice patients, certification in Ear Seeding, and Cupping for massage therapists.

Heather recently completed Trauma Informed Yomassage certification and is excited to offer private and group sessions. Her continued education also includes an Associates in Applied Science, Master Herbalist Certification, and she is scheduled to complete her Bachelor's in Health Service Administration in Spring 2023. Throughout the years, Heather has worked in a variety of settings from gyms to large health clubs, acupuncture clinics, chiropractic offices, hospice companies, and as an educator.

Dena has always been passionate about health and wellness and has spent the past 17 years learning about what makes the human body ill so she can coach others into finding health in their own lives. She is a Regenerative Detoxification Specialist that works to assist her clients in healing. As cliché as it may sound, for D, yoga truly is about the mind/body connection. She believes yoga can be a path or journey to empower individuals physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Michael McClellan

Michael McClellan is a Social Worker, Martial Artist and Medical Qigong Practitioner with over 16 years of experience. Michael is the founding member of Radiate Light Holistic Health, LLC established in 2022 which provides Holistic Health Services and Medical Qigong Treatments. Michael started martial arts in 2006 and has a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Bujinkan Ninjutsu. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science in 2011 from WMU with an emphasis on Psychology and Substance Use. Michael also works for the State of Michigan Dept. of Health and Human Services as a Service Specialist.

Michael received his Medical Qigong Certificate through the Temple of the Celestial Sea in Feb of 2021 under Dr. John Deanzo and Dr. Kristen Lansdale. Michael continues to study Daoist Mysticism and Medical Qigong with the Temple of the Celestial Sea. Michael is passionate about helping people with their physical, mental and spiritual needs. Michael is a strong advocate for Secondary Trauma Awareness and supports those who serve the community. He believes the goal of life is to find your passion and share it with the world. He enjoys spending time with family and pets. Michael enjoys being outdoors gardening and being in nature.

 

Elizabeth “Liz” Alderson

Elizabeth Alderson graduated in 2015 from WMU with her Master’s in social work. Elizabeth is a licensed master level clinical social worker (LMSW-Clinical). She has since been trained in DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Elizabeth specializes in working with survivors of trauma, including but not limited to sexual abuse, intimate partner violence (domestic violence), and human trafficking; she has been working with trauma survivors since 2015. She also specializes in depression and anxiety. She currently accepts BCBS and Medicare.
